The hotel is a project of the Mary Elizabeth Inn which provides safe and permanent housing in San Francisco for women who were formerly homeless or survivors of domestic violence. The Verona Hotel and the Mary Elizabeth Inn are supported by the Women's Division of the United Methodist Church.
