US church activist enters East Jerusalem refugee camp

The Rev. Larry Clark, a United Methodist pastor from Toledo, Ohio, passes through an Israeli government security turnstile while entering the Shufat Refugee Camp in occupied East Jerusalem on August 14, 2024. The camp's residents have suffered frequent harassment and violence from Israeli security forces in recent weeks.

Clark and other members of a visiting delegation of U.S. church activists came to the middle east to accompany threatened Christians and other Palestinians and call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
