Participants in a seminar on women and militarization in Asia prepare to tour the Itokazu Abuchiragama cave in Okinawa. During the Battle of Okinawa, the cave sheltered both Japanese soldiers and civilians who had been indoctrinated in the ideology of the Empire. The seminar was sponsored by United Methodist Women and the Wesley Center in Tokyo.
