Pierrina Esso, a Sacred Heart Sister, helps students in a class in the Morningstar School, an elementary program in Aleppo, Syria, for Iraqi refugee children as well as Syrian children, which is sponsored by the Chaldean Catholic Church. The Chaldean Bishop of Aleppo, Antoine Audo, has spoken out vociferously on behalf of Iraqi refugees, and his church provides educational and other services to some of the 60,000 Iraqis living in the Aleppo area.
