Woman in Mundri, South Sudan
Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadElizabeth Frisus makes a basket at her home in Mundri, South Sudan. When South Sudan's civil war broke out in 2013, Mundri became a place of refuge for people fleeing the fighting. Her grandson Peter Frisus was one of those who fled Juba for Mundri, where his relatives welcomed him and gave him some land to farm. With seeds and tools provided by the Mundri Relief and Development Association, which is supported by the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund, he has been able to grow some food, though not enough to be self-sufficient.
