Moving day at Somali refugee camp

Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download

A Somali refugee family that arrived in recent weeks at the Dadaab camp in northeastern Kenya disassembles their house and pack their belongings to move into a new extension of the world's largest refugee settlement. Swelled with tens of thousands of recent arrivals fleeing drought in Somalia, the camp has been unable to absorb the newest arrivals. The Lutheran World Federation, a member of the ACT Alliance, is manager of the camp and in July began moving hundreds of families into tents in the extension.
