Miriam herself, who suffers from untreated clubfoot -- was formerly a tailoring student at Usa River, and now works there producing totebags, cushions and various garments for sale at Usa River. An institution of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, the Usa River Rehabilitation Centre’s 54 staff support a group of 147 students with special needs, through vocational training, secondary school, and income projects.
