Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadMiriana Daeli hangs her laundry to dry in front of her home in in Tugala, a village on the Indonesian island of Nias. The village was struck by both a 2004 tsunami and a 2005 earthquake, leaving houses destroyed and lives disrupted. The ACT Alliance helped villagers here to construct new homes and latrines, build a potable water system, open a clinic and schools and get their lives going once again. For the residents of Tugala, the post-disaster mantra of "build back better" became a reality with help from the ACT Alliance.
