Reforestation in the mountains of HaitiAdd to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
Renaud Jerome, 35, holds his 3-year old daughter Roselanda as he participates in a reforestation project in the mountainous community of Foret-des-Pins, Haiti. Plagued by deforestation, much of it to produce charcoal for urban cooking stoves, residents of the area are working with the Lutheran World Federation and International Orthodox Christian Charities to reforest and protect their environment. Behind the two is a nursery where Jerome and other residents are producing seedlings for transplanting onto nearby mountainsides..
