In Trascerros, Santa Bárbara, Honduras an aquaponic project is implemented by CASM and supported by World Renew, has a large fish tank where the fish are fed, and the waste from the fish is pumped through the system in water to feed to the plants, so fish and green plants and herbs are produced with very little input. Honduras has many areas where food and water are becoming scarce, success is being found in projects that are pioneering more efficient use of water and space.
