The girl was seriously injured on June 12 when a wall, weakened by combat in her neighborhood between rebels and troops loyal to Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi, fell on top of her. She suffered a concussion, broken pelvis, broken leg, and other injuries. On her bed is a Koran. Fighting has raged in or near Misrata for months.
