Water for Nuba cows
Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadCattlekeepers pull water from hand-dug wells to water their herd in Gidel, a village in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. The area is controlled by the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North, and frequently attacked by the military of Sudan. In addition to war, people of the isolated region have had to endure difficult farming conditions, exacerbated by climate change, leading in recent years to widespread hunger and malnutrition.
