MUCAARD, which is supported by Christian Aid, a member of the ACT Alliance, got involved in Maasin after the devastating passage of Typhoon Washi in 2011. The ACT Alliance helped people in this village to recover from Typhoon Washi and thus reduce their vulnerability to Typhoon Bopha in late 2012.
