Reforestation in the mountains of Haiti

Residents in the mountainous community of Foret-des-Pins, Haiti, meet in the local office of the Lutheran World Federation to learn about new methods of caring for their forests. Plagued by deforestation, much of it to produce charcoal for urban cooking stoves, residents of the area are volunteering to work with LWF and International Orthodox Christian Charities to reforest and protect their environment. .
