Philippine nursing students work in poor neighborhood

Eight-year old Lance Macapanas enjoys a meal in the United Methodist Church in the Parola neighborhood of Tondo, a poor section of Maniila, Philippines. Nursing students from the Mary Johnston College of Nursing regularly visit the neighborhood to do health education and monitor the health of residents, at the same time running a feeding program for neighborhood children.

The nursing school is supported by United Methodist Women.
