Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download20 September 2024, Abuja, Nigeria: Yetunde (one name only) rests a hand on her face after sharing her story and how she has been supported by the project Symbols of Hope, as Lutherans from across the continent gather for an Africa Lutheran Church Leadership Consultation hosted by the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria and bringing together Lutheran World Federation council members, advisors, member church leaders, sub-regional leaders, representatives of regional networks and the host church under the theme of “We, who are many, are one body.” A project of the Lutheran World Federation implemented in Nigeria by the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Symbols of Hope supports survivors of human trafficking, potential and returned migrants through the processes of documentation, psychosocial support and counselling, as well as skills training and livelihood support. Across activities focussed on both awareness-raising and capacity-building, Symbols of Hope targets three groups: pastors and churches, potential migrants, and returning migrants.
