Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadCatholics in Southern Sudan participate in a procession through the streets of Juba on November 20 to pray for a peaceful January 2011 referendum on secession from the north of the country. The independence vote has widespread support throughout Southern Sudan, including among Christians. The banner refers to a church-sponsored ecumenical campaign of 101 days of prayer for a peaceful referendum. NOTE: In July 2011 Southern Sudan became the independent country of South Sudan.
