7 September 2022, Karlsruhe, Germany: Oikoumene Pasifika — a group composed of young singers and musicians from the Pacific that employs song and dance inspired by Pacific traditions to celebrate creation and relationships — announces through song and dance the upcoming 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, to be marked in the year of 2025. The announcement takes place during a thematic plenary focused on ’Christian Unity and the Churches’ Common Witness’ at the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches, held in Karlsruhe, Germany from 31 August to 8 September, under the theme "Christ's Love Moves the World to Reconciliation and Unity."
