Protestors demonstrate outside the White House on July 24, 2012, criticizing U.S. support for pharmaceutical companies which have resisted generic licenses for their drugs for people living with HIV and AIDS. Several people were arrested after tying red ribbons, many connected to prescription bottles, onto the White House fence. The protest took place during the XIX International AIDS Conference.
