Perched on the back of a truck, a priest holds the Blessed Sacrament as Catholics participate in a procession through the streets of Juba on November 20 to pray for a peaceful January 2011 referendum on Southern Sudan's secession from the north of the country. The independence vote has widespread support throughout Southern Sudan, including among Catholics and other Christians. The Blessed Sacrament was carried on the back of a truck throughout the entire procession. NOTE: In July 2011 Southern Sudan became the independent country of South Sudan.
