Sister Mitzy Perez, from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, a member of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Word, walks in a poor neighborhood of Kalookan, on the edge of the Philippines capital of Manila. Perez lives and works in the neighborhood, where the Diocese of Kalookan has established a "mission station" in order to extend the outreach of the church to poor neighborhoods unreached by traditional parish structures.
