Church provides refuge for persecuted indigenous families in the Philippines

Indigenous children recite the Patriotic Oath (Panatang Makabayan) at the beginning of a school day in a church compound in Davao, on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. Hundreds of indigenous are living in the church center, afraid to return home.
