Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadSouad Kasem Issa (left) and her daughter Rahaf, 9, talk with Dhamyah Mahdy Salih on the roof of an apartment building in Amman, Jordan. Souad and her family of eight fled the city of Homs, Syria, as fighting there worsened in 2012. Their home in Syria has since been destroyed by bombing, and they are struggling to survive in Jordan's capital city. Dhamyah, an Iraqi refugee, is a volunteer with International Orthodox Christian Charities, is a member of the ACT Alliance, which has provided some assistance to the family.
