The ACT Alliance supports women's garden in war-torn South Sudan
Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadAbul Yak waters plants in a communal vegetable garden in Poktap, a town in South Sudan's Jonglei State where conflict, drought and inflation have caused severe food insecurity. Most families in the town have just returned from years of displacement. The Lutheran World Federation, a member of the ACT Alliance, is helping families tackle food problems, and provided seeds and tools to help Yak and her neighbors start the garden.
