Southern Sudan school
Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadA Southern Sudanese girl stands in front of her community's new school in the Southern Sudan village of Yondoru. Families here are rebuilding their lives after returning from refuge in Uganda in 2006 following the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the north and south. For months students have held class under trees and in threadbare tents provided by UNICEF. Now they can meet in a new school provided by the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). NOTE: In July 2011, Southern Sudan became the independent country of South Sudan
