Ali Ismeel, a member of the Happy Family Team for Childhood Peace, helps Iraqi refugee children have fun while they and their families wait to be registered at an intake center of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Douma, on the outskirts of Damascus, Syria. More than one million Iraqi refugees may reside in Syria, and the UN provides assistance with education, food, housing, and a variety of other services. The Happy Family Team has three members, all Iraqi refugees themselves.
