Girl makes music in typhoon-ravaged Philippines community
Add to Cart Add to Lightbox DownloadStephanie Fortaleza, 4, plays music by beating on sheets of rusty tin roofing that are piled up following the November 2013 passage of Typhoon Haiyan through her neighborhood in Ormoc, a city in the Philippines province of Leyte. The storm was known locally as Yolanda. Lutheran World Relief and other ACT Alliance members have been providing a variety of forms of assistance to survivors here, including an LWR-sponsored cash for work program that has allowed residents to recover more quickly.
