Wedlin Victor paints furniture in her family's carpentry shop in Gressier, Haiti, as her 8-month old daughter Rose Marie looks on. They live in a model resettlement village constructed by the Lutheran World Federation in Gressier. The settlement houses 150 families who were left homeless by the 2010 earthquake, and represents an intentional effort to "build back better," creating a sustainable and democratic community.
