Woman in Southern Sudan

The village UMW is farming peanuts, pineapple, corn, sorghum and beans as a way to raise money for the women's families. The women say they spend most of the proceeds on school costs of their children and medicines for their families. NOTE: In July 2011 Southern Sudan became the independent country of South Sudan.
