Hondurans arrive home after deportation from the United States

Dora Melara speaks to Honduran women and men who were deported from the United States and are arriving at a church-run reception center in the San Pedro Sula airport. The migrants were flown to the airport aboard a U.S. government flight, then bused to a remote section of the airport where the Catholic Church operates a Center for Attention to Returned Migrants. The deported are welcomed home, cleared by immigration officials, then offered assistance with seeking jobs or transportation to other places in Honduras. Melara is a legal advisor to the center.
