Jan Molcan of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Partizánska Ľupča shows images on his phone from how he placed an orthodox icon on the altar of his church. The icon was brought to the church by Ukrainian refugees as they came to pray one Sunday, and the pastor placed the icon on the altar as a token of hospitality and welcome. The 150-person strong congregation at Partizánska Ľupča has received and currently hosts 82 Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war caused by the Russian invasion of the country in late February.
